News From the ISTA
Greetings Shooters!

The 2017 shooting year is nearly over .  Hopefully everyone has enjoyed the activities, seeing old friends and has been shooting well.

The 2017 Idaho State Trapshooting Championships was hosted at the Pocatello Trap Club over Memorial Day Weekend.  The shoot was excellent, and Pocatello again demonstrated great expertise and hospitality.  Thanks to Pocatello Gun Club members for once again welcoming the ISTA to your facility.

At the annual ISTA meeting there was a Constitution amendment adopted which alters the Board composition to 3 directors for each of the 3 zones. This resulted in several new members joining  the  Board of Directors. An update Constitution can be seen on the "Bylaws" link.

The new ISTA and the ID-PITA Boards are looking forward to working with the shooters to improve relationships & shooting participation.   Please provide suggestions and feedback throughout the year, as well as joining either Board at any meeting. Board members contact information can be found on the "Officers" link.

News from ID-PITA
Hello Shooters!

It's been a great shooting year.  The Pacific Grand in Spokane was a target smashing success with amazing scores posted.  Idaho was well represented, and won second place in the state teams.  Connie and Brian Lancaster from Twin Falls won the husband-wife singles trophy, after winning the ISTA and ID-PITA state shoot husband-wife awards.  A triple crown for great shooters.  The Executive Committee is in the process of negotiating with Spokane for a multiyear contract. It would be great if it was in Spokane again.

The summer multiplex is wrapped up.  Idaho always has great participation and performance.  Remind your clubs to sign up for the fall/winter multiplex and join the fun.

ID-PITA is in the process of 2018 State Shoot planning.  If interested in helping let one of the Directors know. The shoot date will be changed to the July this year, hopefully to avoid shooter fatigue from back to back state shoots.

As you can see ID-PITA and ISTA are working together to make this website a communication tool that serves all trapshooters in the state.  If you have input please let us know.  You can contact us through:
Emails will be forwarded to the correct person.

The new trapshooting year begins November 1, 2017.  Good luck to everyone!
